BANGKOK, Thailand – The Meteorological Department reported that northern, northeastern, central, and eastern regions of Thailand are experiencing cool to cold weather with morning fog. However, weak to poor air circulation is expected to lead to increased dust particle concentrations.
The department forecasts cool to cold conditions in the upper regions of Thailand, with frost possible in mountain areas. Bangkok and surrounding provinces will also see cooler mornings, with temperatures ranging from 18–21°C and highs of 32–34°C.
Marine conditions in the Gulf of Thailand and the Andaman Sea remain moderate, with waves reaching up to 2 meters in stormy areas. The public is advised to take precautions against potential health risks from dust, especially in areas with limited air dispersion caused by surface inversions and weak winds.
Key recommendations include monitoring air quality, avoiding outdoor activities during high pollution periods, and using masks when necessary. Travelers are urged to drive cautiously in foggy areas, and coastal communities should be alert to maritime conditions.
This period of cooler temperatures and increased dust accumulation highlights the need for both health precautions and environmental awareness. (TNA)
