BANGKOK, Thailand – The Thai Meteorological Department reports that northern Thailand is experiencing reduced rainfall, while the northeastern region is seeing cool morning temperatures October 7. Citizens in northern areas are advised to take care of their health due to changing weather conditions. Meanwhile, Bangkok and surrounding areas are expected to have scattered thunderstorms, with a 20% chance of rain.
The weather forecast for the next 24 hours indicates that a moderate high-pressure system is covering northern Thailand and the South China Sea, resulting in less rain in upper regions. The northeastern region is experiencing cool mornings, and the public is advised to protect their health during these changes in weather. In contrast, the monsoon trough over the central part of southern Thailand is causing heavy rainfall in some areas. People in southern regions should be cautious of heavy rain and possible flash floods, especially in hilly areas near water channels and low-lying regions.
Waves in the Andaman Sea and the Gulf of Thailand are expected to be under 1 meter high, but in areas with thunderstorms, waves could reach more than 2 meters. Fishermen are advised to avoid navigating in stormy areas.
For Bangkok and its vicinity, scattered thunderstorms are expected over 20% of the area, with temperatures ranging from a low of 25-26°C to a high of 33-35°C.
