BANGKOK, 3 May 2015 – The National Reform Council hopes it will reach a conclusion on the suggested changes to the draft Constitution before the end of this month.

NRC member Direk Teungfung, who is also chairman of the sub-committee on the review of changes of the draft charter, said that a meeting to review all proposed changes by NRC members will be held on May 6.

Mr. Direk said that the upcoming review should help achieve more clarity on the changes the reform council are looking for, particularly in the sections related to the origins of the members of parliament, the senators and theorem minister.

He stated that the conclusion on all the proposed changes should be derived within the following two weeks so that the NRC will be able to draft and present an official proposal on draft charter changes to the Constitution Drafting Committee.
