Bangkok – The Secretary-General of the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC), Dr. Suthep Chittayawong, said over 20,000 people affected by tropical storm Pabuk in Thailand used the repair services of the Fix It Centers.
Dr. Suthep said 1,014 teachers and students from vocational schools in the 14 southern provinces had been assigned to provide maintenance services for electrical appliances, vehicles, agricultural equipment, and houses of the people hit by Pabuk.
He said the Fix It Centers operated during January 6 to 23. They served 20,119 people and repaired 20,541 items.
He went on to say that this activity demonstrated the potential of vocational students and created a positive image of vocational education.
