MAE HONG SON, 8 May 2014 – More than 700 logs of protected timber have been confiscated in the latest crackdown in Mae Hong Son Province.
Mae Hong Son provincial authorities yesterday searched villagers’ homes in Mae La Noi District, where a total of 710 logs of protected teak were found. Authorities also found 300 pieces of rough cut lumber hidden in haystacks.
