PARIS – At the 2024 Paris Motor Show, electric vehicles (EVs) have taken the spotlight, reflecting a shift in the automotive world towards sustainable and innovative technology. European brands such as Citroën, Renault, and Peugeot have showcased their latest EV models, offering new options that redefine urban mobility with impressive ranges and sleek designs. Citroën’s new lineup includes a refreshed version of the compact Ami EV and the C5 Air Cross concept, both paying homage to the brand’s classic designs while setting modern standards for eco-friendly driving.
However, while electric cars have dominated attention, traditional combustion engines remain a core feature of the show. Major brands continue to present exciting new models powered by internal combustion, including Alfa Romeo’s Junio hybrid SUV and Volkswagen’s Tayron, a seven-seater SUV designed to replace the Tiguan Allspace.
In addition to the impressive European displays, Chinese automakers have also made their mark. BYD and Leapmotor presented hybrid and budget-friendly EVs, respectively, aiming to expand their reach into the European market. With the debut of Audi’s Q6 e-tron and Skoda’s Elroq BEV, the show offered international insights into the future of electrified driving.
The 2024 Paris Motor Show, running from October 14-20 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, continues to be a crucial platform for automotive innovations, bringing together both cutting-edge electric vehicles and classic combustion engines to appeal to all automotive enthusiasts.
