PATHUM THANI, 12 June 2015 – Klongsam district, Pathum Thani province has initiated a roadside landscaping project, in honor of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn.
Dr. Veerasak Hadda, chief of Klongsam district office, explained that the local administration grew 20 breeds of lotus along 16-kilometers of road parallel the Klongsam canal.
While dedicated to Her Royal Highness’s fifth cycle and 60th birthday anniversary, the project also aims to promote downtown Pathum Thani as ‘the City of Lotuses,’ as well as preserve local and exotic lotus species.
Aside from lotus flowers, the office has also planned to grow golden shower trees on both sides of Klongsam canal.
