PATTANI, May 7 – A teacher was shot dead in this southernmost province today in the latest violence in Thailand’s restive southern region.
The victim was identified as Pairat Jitsen, 50, a teacher at Baan Doowa School in Panare district.
She was driving her car after finishing her follow-up on school construction budget and stopped at a roadside snack shop when a man arrived on a motorcycle and opened fire at her.
Her assailant immediately left after the shooting.
