Pattaya city’s marching youth band held a final rehearsal on June the 27th at the Pattaya city Indoor sports stadium in Soi Chaiyapruek prior to them attending the Germany World Band 2011 competition.
Many parents and members of the public attended the practice to show support for the band, 82 band members will go to Germany along with 59 assistants.
Final Preparations take place before the band set off for Germany.
The first piece they will play in the competition is entitled ‘Marching Palace’ and showcases Thai traditional culture and is to honor HM the King and Royal Family and will feature the Rajawallop marching song, Loy Krathong and Burma Long Drum.
The group will first perform at the Tropicana Carnival in Paris on July 3rd, and will then compete for the world championship in Rastede Germany between the 8th and 10th of July.
