PDRC moves out from Lumpini to Shinawatra 2 Building and Department of Corrections

BANGKOK, 10 March 2014  The People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) protesters have moved out of Lumpini Park to continue protesting at Shinawatra 2 Buidling and the Department of Corrections. 

The PDRC have divided their protesters into 2 groups in their ongoing protest against what they call the Shinawatra regime. The first group, led by Chaichana Dejdecho, marched to Shinawatra 2 Building near the Soi Ari lane on Paholyothin Road in order to return mobile phone sim-cards to the Shinawatra-related company in a show of disapproval to the current administration.

The second group, led by Thinakorn Ornprathum, rallied at the Department of Corrections, Ministry of Justice in Nonthaburi province. The group also considered moving further towards Shinawatra 3 Building on Vibhavadi Road.

Meanwhile, cleaning personnel from Pathumwan and Lumpini district offices have now moved into the Lumpini Park to clean up the area where PDRC protesters had used for their camping for several weeks.
