PDRC vows it will not lay siege on SET, AEROTHAI, and BTS

BANGKOK, 14 Jan 2014  The People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) has affirmed that it will not lay siege on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET), the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand (AEROTHAI), and other transportation hubs.

Mr. Akekanut Prompunt, spokesperson of the PDRC told the media that the residents residing in the vicinity of the rally sites have responded well to the rally, adding that it would continue its activities until the government steps down and moves ahead with the national reform before organizing the general election. He said the group’s main strategy is to stage protests near the key government premises.


The spokesperson also stated that the PDRC would not seize the SET, AEROTHAI, airports, train stations, and the BTS sky train. He stressed that the PDRC would do whatever it could to reduce the effects of the rally on the Bangkok residents.
