Sweaty residents of a Sukhumvit Soi 41/1 apartment house watched anxiously Monday as Provincial Electrical Authority workers righted power poles and reinstalled a transformer after a truck accident took out power to the neighborhood.
A 10-wheeler took out six power poles in an accident March 6, leaving residents in the dark. Many said they slept outside on their balconies because it was too hot inside.
Not all the work was finished, but enough to get fans working again. PEA workers said the trucking company would be paying for their efforts.
