People’s Party prepares to expose secret deals in the upcoming no-confidence debate, calling out government missteps and the price the nation has paid. Don’t miss the full debate on March 24.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The People’s Party has kicked off the debate for the upcoming no-confidence motion, releasing a poster titled “Country-Swap Deal.” This follows Nattapong‘s submission of a motion to amend the names in the motion by removing “Thaksin” and replacing it with “family members.”

Nattapong Ruangpanitwat, the opposition leader, revealed that he has submitted an amended no-confidence motion to the Speaker of the House this morning (March 17). The changes include striking out the name Thaksin Shinawatra and the phrase “father” and replacing them with “family members.” He believes the Speaker will allow the motion to be included on the agenda without any issues and that the debate will proceed as scheduled on March 24, as proposed by the government.

Meanwhile, the People’s Party’s official page has been active, posting details about the no-confidence debate under the theme “Country-Swap Deal.” The post highlights the consequences of “when the elephants fight, the grass gets trampled.” It describes the impact of the deals made by the elite, stating that over 18 months under a government driven by such deals, the people of Thailand have suffered. It also emphasizes that the country has paid the price for certain individuals to return home, and the damage done to Thailand’s governance is significant, particularly in the context of having Paethongtarn Shinawatra as Prime Minister.

The post continues, criticizing various aspects of the current government’s performance, including the failure to distribute digital wallets properly, economic stagnation, rising unemployment, and high living costs. It also mentions the failure to reform the military and the lack of progress on constitutional amendments. The government’s handling of political prisoners and its tarnished international reputation are also highlighted.

The People’s Party is inviting the public to join in the upcoming no-confidence debate on March 24, where the party plans to expose all secret deals and demand accountability for the losses the people have suffered. (TNA)
