PHETCHABURI, 25 June 2015 – Phetchaburi Province in the central region has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Office of Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion (OSMEP) and the Ministry of Interior to jointly promote a campaign called ‘SME Provincial Champions’.
The government is promoting the campaign nationwide to create a network of industrial SME operators and empower the SME sector in each province. Interested industrial SME owners can apply for the program at the provincial Damrongtham Center. Under the ‘SME Provincial Champions’ program, each province will select three applicants qualified for comprehensive trainings for three groups of businesses namely a startup group, a rising star group and a group of turnaround operators.
The list of selected applicants will be announced on June 30. SME operators partaking in the program will learn more about business development and in-depth analysis of their businesses. They will be given training to achieve the results of the analysis they have made, and also training in marketing and public relations in both domestic and international markets.
