BANGKOK, 26 Dec 2013– Pheu Thai Party has drawn number 15 for the upcoming general election, while Chart Pattana Party has drawn number 1.
The drawing of numbers of party-list candidates took place this morning amid chaos as clashes between authorities and protesters broke out at the registration venue. The Election Commission (EC) however managed to proceed with the drawing process.
Here are the results: Chart Pattana Party led by Wannarat Channukul drew number 1, Bhumjaithai Party led by Anuthin Chanweerakul drew number 6, Chart Thai Pattana led by former Prime Minister Banharn Silapa-archa drew number 14, and the ruling Pheu Thai Party led by Charupong Ruangsuwan drew number 15.
The next general election is scheduled for February 2nd, 2014.
