Following the recent ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Retreat Philippine Honorary Consul, Mr. Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya, invited the new Philippine Commercial Attaché of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in Bangkok, Mr. Enrico A. Mariano, on economic monitoring by a visit to Chiang Mai Celadon in Doi Saket where they were welcomed by the Managing Director, Mrs. Tassanee Yaja; on initial dialogue with representatives from Office of Foreign Trade Region 1 (DFT), International Trade Promotion Regional Office (DITP) and Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce (CCC) and on inspection of ASEAN Design Center at DIPT – Chiang Mai. The Philippine Commercial Attaché suggests that there are opportunities for Thai spa to be developed in the Philippines and is interested on how to set up foreign SME while the Thai representatives invite the Philippine’s participation in the International Halal Fair and the Lanna Expo. Both parties also agree on the joint activities related to initiate more trading between the Philippines and Chiang Mai.
