Phuket chosen to host ‘Thailand Biennale 2025’

The fourth Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 is scheduled to run for five months, on dates that will be announced before long.

The Ministry of Culture’s Office of Contemporary Art and Culture has announced that Phuket province was selected to host the Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025, an international contemporary art exhibition. It will be the fourth such event, after the third Thailand Biennale Chiang Rai 2023, which will end in April 2024. The fourth Thailand Biennale Phuket 2025 is scheduled to run for five months, on dates that will be announced before long.



Phuket was selected as the host city because of its unique local culture and because it is the home of multi-cultural diversity. In addition, the island has also achieved success in its developments, helping it to become one of the world’s renowned tourist destinations.

The events will feature artwork from both Thai and international artists, at various venues around Phuket. The Phuket Biennale is expected to create employment for over 15,000 people, attract over five million visitors, and generates revenue from activities related to the event of over 40,000 million baht (US$1.1 billion).
