PETCHABUN, 25 Dec 2013, – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra has admitted that she is worried about the upcoming February 2nd polls.

During her visit to Petchabun Province, the Prime Minister said she was truly concerned with the Democrat Party’s decision to boycott the general election, despite several academics’ claims that it could go on without the Opposition party’s presence. The People’s Democratic Reform Committee’s rejection of the polls might also prevent it taking place.

The Prime Minister, meanwhile, said she agreed with the 7 Private Organization Network’s proposal on the political reform, which focuses on implementing the reform before, during, and after the general election.

According to Ms. Yingluck, she supports the idea as it can be done in parallel with the national polls, adding that the plan will be ideal if it can be completed in 2 years’ time, the same time frame her government has set.

As for a certain party’s attitude toward her role as Prime Minister, she said she would not retaliate in order to avoid creating more conflicts, while urging the group to refrain from expressing its opinion in such a strong manner, as it would damage the country’s image.
