CHIANG MAI, 29 June 2015 (NNT) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-Ocha is in Chiang Mai to chair the mobile cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai on Tuesday.
The premier arrived in the northern province at 4.20 pm on Monday before proceeding to visit Doi Suthep temple and City Hall market.
On Tuesday, he is set to preside over the cabinet meeting at the Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre. Later in the day, he will travel to Phitsanulok to receive updates on the water management and rice projects.
Deputy Government Spokesman Maj.Gen. Sansern Kaeokamnerd earlier said it was the premier’s idea to arrange a mobile Cabinet meeting in Chiang Mai province to follow up on the region’s issues and the progress of government projects.
Budget requests on existing projects are set to be considered by the cabinet during the meeting. They include the mass transit project, road extensions, water resource renovations, and waste-water management.
