BEIJING, Nov 10 — Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-ocha arrived Beijing yesterday to attend the 22nd Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting.
Accompanied by his wife and senior officials, Gen Prayut is attending the meeting being held in the Chinese capital today and tomorrow.
The theme of the APEC summit is ‘Shaping the Future through Asia-Pacific Partnership’.
It will focus on three major issues including advancing regional economic integration, promoting innovative development, economic reform and growth, and strengthening comprehensive development in infrastructure and connectivity.
The three major issues are in line with the policy and strategy laid out by Thailand’s current interim government.
Gen Prayut was also scheduled to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other government leaders on bilateral issues aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.
