PM discusses flood measures with NZ PM

SEOUL, 28 March 2012  – Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra engaged in a bilateral talk with New Zealand’s Prime Minister, Mr. John Key, on the sidelines of the Nuclear security summit in Seoul yesterday. 

The two leaders discussed the impact sustained by natural disasters the two countries encountered last year and the measures implemented to respond to the devastations.

Ms Yingluck thanked Mr Key for the assistance provided during the flood crisis last year and elaborated on the flood prevention policies Thailand is adopting for the next rainy season.

She also spoke of possible cooperation in education, creative economy and trade between the two countries.

The premier also invited Mr Key to attend the World Economic Forum on East Asia Thailand will host during May 30 – June 1.
