Prime Minister and Finance Minister Srettha Thavisin responded to public queries, particularly regarding education.

He discussed Thailand’s low scores in mathematics and science on the PISA test, marking the lowest in 20 years. Additionally, Thailand ranked 101st out of 113 countries in English proficiency.

He acknowledged these as long-standing problems, despite the Ministry of Education receiving the highest budget allocation. The premier emphasized the need for curriculum development and skills that align with market demands and address educational disparities.

The Prime Minister also addressed other issues such as informal debts, while also confirming the launch of the project to provide a 10,000-baht stipend through the digital wallet system in May next year.

Regarding drug problems, he announced a major drug seizure scheduled for December 16th and a Key Performance Indicator to eliminate drug issues within four years. The government also aims to enforce laws strictly against firearms and influential figures. (NNT)
