Prime Minister expressed deep gratitude to all parties involved in securing their release, including Qatar, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, the United States, and other friendly nations, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra confirmed via X (formerly Twitter) that five Thai nationals have been released from Gaza. She shared the update after receiving confirmation from Thailand’s Ambassador in Israel.

She stated that the Thai government and everyone in Thailand have been waiting for the moment for a long time. She expressed deep gratitude to all parties involved in securing their release, including Qatar, Egypt, Iran, Turkey, the United States, and other friendly nations, as well as the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). She also thanked Israel for ensuring their care and safe return.



The Prime Minister has instructed Thai agencies to urgently coordinate with Israeli authorities to speed up the safe departure of the released hostages so they can reunite with their families in Thailand as soon as possible.

She reaffirmed her hope that the remaining Thai hostage would soon be released and safely returned home. (NNT)
