Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin and his spouse, Pakpilai Thavisin, led a Buddhist ceremony and alms-giving event at Sanam Luang ceremonial ground this morning to celebrate the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on December 5.

Also present at the ceremony were the Privy Councilors, the President of the National Assembly, the President of the Supreme Court, and scores of high-ranking officials.



The Prime Minister and his spouse were seen offering traditional Buddhist items and monk robes. The couple then performed a water-pouring ceremony for blessings and led the attendees in giving alms to 189 Buddhist monks.

The day concluded with his visit to King Rama 9 Memorial Park, where Srettha once again led a wreath-laying ceremony, honoring King Rama 9’s legacy and reinforcing the nation’s cultural and spiritual values. (NNT)
