PM not disappointed with results of TIP Report

BANGKOK, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has confirmed that the Thai government is urgently tackling the problem of human trafficking to the best of its abilities. The PM also expressed readiness to cooperate with all countries and organizations to eradicate human trafficking.

Gen. Prayut on Friday said in his weekly TV program that the government had monitored the U.S’ Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Report for 2015 and knew the results before the report was officially announced. He said he was not disheartened and disappointed that Thailand was ranked in the lowest Tier.

The PM stated further that Thailand accepted international regulations and it would continue to resolve its human trafficking problem seriously.
