PM opens ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023 – A Phenomenon of Light and Color Shows’ in Bangkok

Srettha stated that the Chao Phraya River which flows through the capital center, is another prideful tourist attraction of Thailand as there are numerous temples, historical sites, and tourist spots along the river.

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Srettha Thavisin on Thursday night presided over the opening of ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023 – A Phenomenon of Light and Color Shows’ at the ICONSIAM pier in Bangkok.

He stated that the Chao Phraya River which flows through the capital center, is another prideful tourist attraction of Thailand as there are numerous temples, historical sites, and tourist spots along the river.



These tourist attractions are worthy for tourists to visit and celebrate in the festive season, he said.

According to the Prime Minister, Bangkok is a world’s metropolis that draw millions of tourists from around the globe.

The city boasts not only the temples, but also private-owned tourist attractions, such as the ICONSIAM and the Four Seasons Hotel which was once the best hotel in the world.



During the festive season, throughout the month of December, various activities, e.g., firework display, cultural performances, etc., have been organized at these tourist attractions which will bolster economy, and draw people and tourists to enjoy these vibrant festivities and atmosphere.

Mr Srettha said he was impressed with ‘Vijit Chao Phraya 2023’ extravagant light event which features light-and-sound shows, projection mappings, fireworks display, and cultural performances, and thanked Tourism Authority of Thailand, concerned private sector and public agencies for organizing the event.
