BANGKOK, 26 Oct 2013 Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra on Friday oversaw the last round of elimination in the Smart Lady Thailand project, which will eventually pick 12 women who will partake in a reality TV program for 1 month.
Ms. Yingluck on Friday had photographs taken with the remaining 16 contestants in the Smart Lady Thailand project. 12 women will eventually be selected to partake in an intensive learning course within the ‘Smart Lady Thailand House’ for one month; their activities during the month will be televised live around the clock. Theory and practice sessions will be on equality, leadership, and social service.
In her capacity as the head of the board of the Thai Women Empowerment Fund, the agency hosting the project, Prime Minister Yingluck indicated that in addition to developing the capacities of the 12 contestants, the reality program will also allow the public to learn new things and provide support to the women’s representatives who will become role models for the new generation.
The reality program will be broadcast live around the clock on True Visions channel 70, True Visions HD channel 110, and through the Smart Lady Thailand website.
