BANGKOK, 6 July 2015 – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha has commended administrative and national security officers for taking actions against illegal entertainment venues. Gen. Prayut called on all sides to help reduce vices in the society.
Deputy Government Spokesman Sansern Kaeokamnerd on Monday said the premier was satisfied with the national police bureau’s policy to regulate the entertainment venues operating beyond legal operating hours. Gen. Prayut however expressed concerns over entertainment venues near academic institutions since they might be the locations where young people used drugs, Maj.Gen. Sansern said.
The PM also praised the Sara Buri provincial governor who worked with administrative and national security officers in tackling the entertainment venues which allowed young people under 20 years of age to enter. He urged other provincial administrations to apply the governor’s guidelines in protecting the nation’s adolescents.
