BANGKOK, 20 September 2013 Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra is set to launch a road show next week detailing the planned infrastructure development projects which are being debated in the House of Representatives.

The premier has expressed confidence that the 2-trillion-baht loan bill would pass the second reading and has prepared to unveil the road show on September 26 at Government House.

The Prime Minister’s office plans to host road shows in 12 provinces where the high-speed rail lines will be built. Among the provinces will be Nong Khai, Chiang Mai, Songkhla and Rayong.

Ms Yingluck has earlier stated that the 2-trillion-baht fund is needed as Thailand lacks the development of core infrastructure during the past 7-8 years despite the fact that it is a key indicator to national growth and competitiveness.
