PM Yingluck pledges support to Thai sport development

BANGKOK, 15 August 2012  – The Prime Minister has pledged full support to improve Thailand’s sports and athletes. 

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, on Tuesday, attended a special reception party, hosted by the government, for Thai athletes who have contested in the 2012 Olympic Games in London and the 3rd Asian Beach Games in Haiyang, China.

The Premier congratulated both the athletes and those involved in the Thai sport circle on the achievements they have helped make happen.

Prime Minister Yingluck also pledged the government’s continued support for the development of Thai sports in order to help athletes contest more competitively in the future.

In addition, she called on the private sector to take part in encouraging Thai sports men and women to excel further on the international arena.
