This unusual case recently made national news after four men in police uniforms allegedly kidnapped a 3 year old Thai-American boy from a school bus in Bangkok.
Reports stated that the ‘police’ had approached on two motorcycles and abducted the boy with the bus driver and attendant and school kids as witnesses.
Police make their involvement in the case clear
35 year old Kesorn Fongmuang, the mother of the child said she was positive that the boy’s 50 year old American father who resides in Pattaya was behind the kidnap.
Pol. Maj. Col. Thapana Klosuwan from the Banglamung police stated that his officers had absolutely nothing to do with this kidnap, they are aware however of a domestic dispute between the mother and father over the custody rights of the boy.
The police are now keeping an eye out for the father in case he returns to his residence at Rattanakorn village in Nongprue.
