BANGKOK, 5 September 2014 –The Royal Thai Police deputy chief Pol Gen Somyos Pumpanmuang, has redirected all police divisions to monitor likely inundations and to boost measures to assist victims of floods.
Tool kits, equipment and vehicles are prepared to reach victims in need of immediate help. As well, traffic police are enjoined to facilitate the safety of commuters in areas battered by heavy rains and trapped on waterlogged roadways. Designated officials will make patrols to ensure security of the lives and property of residents.
