BANGKOK, Thailand – Police have questioned 98 witnesses in connection with the collapse of the State Audit Office (SAO) building, as the investigation into potential criminal liability continues. Authorities are still awaiting forensic analysis of evidence collected from the scene.

Pol. Maj. Gen. Nopasin Poolsawat, Deputy Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, provided an update on the case, stating that the investigation is divided into two key areas. The first involves autopsies and identity verification of the deceased, which remain incomplete due to the ongoing search for people possibly still trapped under the rubble. The 98 witnesses questioned so far include 13 employees from involved companies, 15 relatives of the deceased, 64 eyewitnesses and relatives of those affected, and 6 injured individuals. Police are continuing to gather evidence, which includes not only witness testimonies but also physical evidence from the scene and expert assessments.
