BANGKOK, 29 April 2014 – As the annual Coronation Day is approaching, a number of police will be deployed around the Klai Kangwon Palace to ensure safety during the celebration.
Around 1,000 police officers and traffic police will be deployed and stationed in various areas around the Klai Kangwon Palace in Hua Hin District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province; in a bid to provide safety and convenience for the public who will be celebrating the Coronation Day, which falls on May 5th, 2014, during which HM the King will grant an audience to the royal family and civil servants.
According to authorities, roads in front of Klai Kangwon Palace will be sealed off from 3 pm onwards on May 4th. However, two areas will be designated as parking spots, one in the north and the other in the south of the palace.
His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej was crowned King of the Kingdom of Thailand on 5 May 1950 at the Royal Palace in Bangkok.
