Police to question Thai actress on illegal resort hotel in Nan

Pol Maj Gen Piyapan Patarapongsin, commander of Nan police, said he ordered the interrogators of the Bo Klue station to call the actress for the questioning as police wanted her to confirm if she went to the hotel as a tourist or was paid to present and endorse it.

Police plan to call actress Pimchanok “Baifern” Luevisadpaibul for interrogation at the Royal Thai Police Office on Dec 26 on a resort hotel that allegedly encroached on forest reserves in Nan province.

Interrogators from the Bo Klue police station will be there to question the actress as they found she went to the hotel which allegedly encroached on the forests that form the catchment area of the Nan River.

The luxury resort hotel stands in Sapan village in Bo Klue district of Nan. Local police found it encroached on Phu Kha and Pha Daeng forest reserves and they ordered its closure on Dec 8.



It was reported that the actress paid for her stay at the hotel and was not hired to present it. Police already charged the hotel operator with forest encroachment and violation of the Hotel Act because its room rates were very expensive. Police were treating the actress as a witness in the case. (TNA)
