BANGKOK, 30 June 2015 – PRD’s Deputy Director-General today welcomed a delegate from the China Report magazine, extending cooperation to the ASEAN region as well elevating the importance of Thai media.
The Deputy Director-General of the Public Relations Department (PRD) Charoon Chaisorn today welcomed the Deputy Editor Chief of China Report Xianyong Luo along with his staff to discuss cooperation extensions between Thailand and China on public relations.
During this visit, the China Report team expressed that the PRD is an efficient public relations agency that delivers reliable news and information to the public and plays a great role in extending the cooperation within the ASEAN region in various aspects.
China Report’s Deputy Editor Chief said that his meeting with the PRD executive saw the discussion on tightening relations between both countries. China Report’s office in Thailand was also established with an aim to serve as the magazine’s regional headquarters for the ASEAN region.
The PRD Deputy Director-General said that the PRD has been cooperating with China on public relations for a long time, including the exchange of information in keep with the cooperation framework, the exchange of staffs, and exchange visits to learn and train about the production of news, reports and documentaries.
He said that the PRD is willing to cooperate in the exchange of information and news at a national and at the ASEAN level in the future.
