BANGKOK, 20 September 2015 – The Prime Minister has appointed the related agencies to provide relief operations for the flood affected public in Chonburi Province, urging to urgently restore of the affected areas.
Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has expressed his concern on the flood affected public brought on by the Vamco storm, and has appointed related officials to conduct relief operations to the affected public.
Deputy Minister of Defence Gen Udomdej Sitabutr, Deputy Minister of Interior Sutee Markboon, and the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation’s Director-General Chatchai Promlert have been commanded to conduct field operations in Chonburi Province to examine the situation, and provide the affected public with survival bags and moral support.
The Prime Minister has also commanded the Governor of Chonburi to conduct a damage report, which will be formulated into a rescue and trouble solving operation, along with the restoration of the affected areas to normal conditions as soon as possible.
