PM Paetongtarn shuts down reshuffle rumors: “No changes, stability first”, gives no comments on “dancing around” ministers statement made by her father.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra has firmly denied rumors of an impending Cabinet reshuffle, stating that such reports do not reflect her intentions. “There will be no reshuffle,” she declared.

When asked whether these rumors might cause unnecessary concern among ministers, she reaffirmed her stance, emphasizing that any changes would be discussed within the government if necessary. She pointed out that her administration is still in its early stages, and ministers need time to maintain continuity in their work. She stressed the importance of stability across all ministries and dismissed external speculation about reshuffling. “If a reshuffle were to happen, I would be the one to announce it,” she added.

Regarding speculation that a reshuffle might take place after a no-confidence debate, with the possibility of Captain Thammanat Prompao returning to the Cabinet, the Prime Minister said she had heard such rumors but insisted they had no basis in reality.

When asked about former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra’s comment that some ministers seemed to be “dancing around” rather than working effectively, she chose not to respond, merely glancing at the reporter without comment. (TNA)
