BANGKOK, 18 September 2015- Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn yesterday (Sep 17) gave a special interview on the occasion of Mahidol Day, 24th of September, which commemorates the death of His Royal Highness Prince Mahidol of Songkla, the Father of Modern Medicine and Public Health of Thailand.
The Princess has recorded a TV program to be aired on Mahidol Day, in her capacity as Chairperson of the fund-raising committee of Siriraj Hospital.
This year’s fund-raising campaign is on the theme of “The power of giving, the power of happiness”, reflecting Prince Mahidol’s contribution to the promotion and revival of the health of people in deprived families. In the interview, Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn talks about the happiness she has gained from her activities helping to bring progress to medical aid in Thailand. She also recounted her experience as a lecturer imparting knowledge to students at the Department of Bio-chemistry, Faculty of Medicine of Siriraj Hospital.
The program will be aired on Television Channel 5, on Saturday, 19 September, at 10.15 p.m.
