BANGKOK, 7 November 2014 – Her Royal Highness Princess Srirasm, the Royal Consort to His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, represented His Royal Highness at the opening ceremony of the King Prajadhipok’s Institute Technical Meeting 2014 at Centra Government Complex Hotel and Convention Center in Laksi District, Bangkok. This year’s meeting which will continue for three days until Nov 8, is being conducted under the theme “Eight Decades of Democracy: Dynamism of the Balance of Power”.
It provides a stage for academicians to exchange knowledge on ways to create the right balance between the political and administrative powers under the democratic system with the King as Head of State. The meeting is joined by prominent speakers, both Thai and foreign. Useful information gained from the meeting will be compiled and presented to organizations in charge of national reforms and drafting of a permanent constitution.
Her Royal Highness Princess Srirasm also opened on this occasion an exhibition to commemorate the 120th birthday anniversary of King Rama VII, who gave the first permanent constitution to the Thai people. The exhibition is also held to celebrate UNESCO’s recognition of King Rama VII as one of the Great Personalities of the World in the field of education, religion, and culture and arts.
