BANGKOK, Thailand – Professor Dr. Caroline Susan Elizabeth Homer from Australia has been named the recipient of the Princess Srinagarindra Award for 2024. The decision was made by the Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation’s Committee, chaired by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, during a meeting on September 13. Dr. Homer has been recognized for her contributions to nursing and midwifery, with her research shaping maternal and infant health policies across numerous countries.



Dr. Homer is a leading figure in maternal and infant health research, with her work benefiting the well-being of mothers, infants, and children globally. Her research has gained international recognition, influencing practices in midwifery and advancing the field. The Princess Srinagarindra Award Foundation was established in 2000 to honor nursing and midwifery professionals worldwide. The foundation was created on the 100th anniversary of the birth of Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, to celebrate professionals whose work has made a lasting impact in these fields.
