BANGKOK – The Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother, the Krabi Provincial Administration Organization and the Krabi Nakharin International Hospital have launched a mobile unit to distribute prosthesis to 200 amputees in Krabi and its neighboring provinces.
Krabi governor Phinit Boonlert presided over the opening ceremony of the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother’s mobile unit, which will be operating during 18 – 23 December 2016 at the Krabi Provincial Administration Organization. Over 200 amputees have applied to receive the service.
This is in response to the initiative of HRH the Princess Mother so that the amputees can acquire quality prosthetic, improve their quality of life and support themselves without becoming a burden to their families and society.
In addition, the Prostheses Foundation of HRH the Princess Mother also repairs the broken prostheses, train amputees and their relatives on prosthetic maintenance and provide career training and financial support.
