Apparently there has been a flood of complaints regarding inappropriate signboards around Pattaya.
These signboards used to promote bars and entertainment venues often contain partially dressed model that are on show to the general public with no form of censorship.
This has come to the attention of our Cultural Councilor Naowarat Khakhay who says Pattaya welcomes a wide variety of nationalities many of which are families with young children.

She warned that the business operators should exercise more social responsibility, keeping in mind the image of Pattaya and not just focus on promoting their businesses.
She said city officials will now have to be more scrupulous when inspecting displays and should warn the business owners that they may have to take them down if they are found to be offensive to the eyes of children or even adults.
