BANGKOK, Thailand – Members of the public are invited to venerate the Sacred Buddha’s Tooth Relic, temporarily enshrined at Sanam Luang from now until February 14th next year, between 7 AM and 8 PM.
Chusak Sirinil, Minister Attached to the Prime Minister’s Office, has elaborated that the relic, which is a significant symbol in Buddhism revered by both Thais and Chinese, has been brought from China to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Thai-Chinese diplomatic relations next year.
Minister Chusak also emphasized that venerating the relic during this period is auspicious, coinciding with the 72nd birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Rama X on July 28th this year.
He noted that the enshrinement is part of the government’s celebration of the King’s birthday and encouraged all Thais to participate for personal blessings and the prosperity of Thailand. (NNT)
