In 2024, Thailand maintained its position as the leading exporter of milk and dairy products in ASEAN, with exports increasing by 11.5%, totaling US$582.62 million.

BANGKOK, Thailand – The Ministry of Commerce has announced that Thailand ranks as the largest exporter of dairy products in ASEAN.

In 2024, Thailand maintained its position as the leading exporter of milk and dairy products in ASEAN, with exports increasing by 11.5%, totaling US$582.62 million. Currently, dairy products from Thailand benefit from tax-free access across all ASEAN countries under the Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Key export products include yogurt, UHT milk, buttermilk, and cream.



Additionally, the quality of Thai dairy products and its efficient logistics have contributed to the industry’s continued growth and expansion in the ASEAN market.

Moreover, the ministry is actively negotiating an FTA with South Korea and is part of the ASEAN-Canada negotiations, with agreements expected to be finalized in 2025, while also exploring new markets in Africa and South America to expand sustainable export opportunities for the Thai dairy industry.
