CHACHOENGSAO – Chachoengsao and Ratchaburi Provinces are using various methods to help farmers affected by the drought.

Four water storage tanks are able to contain 4,000 liters of water which can be distributed to farmers through a pipeline in the main district of Ratchaburi Province. The Ratchaburi Agriculture and Cooperative Office set up to the system to aid farmers during the dry season, however the system is available all year round. The water is pumped from underground sources and stored in the tanks and then distributed through the pipes to various areas, helping farmers grow crops and generate income.

Meanwhile, Chachoengsao is provided breeding hens and feed to farmers in Bang Nam Priao District, in a campaign that urges locals to turn to chicken farming and the sale of eggs to earn extra income. This move too aims to help farmers who have been affected by the drought.
