RAYONG, 29 September 2014 The Rayong Provincial Office of Tourism and Sport is collaborating with Rayong Tourist Police, Thailand Tourist Police, and Khao Laem Yah-Moo Koh Samet National Park to organize a program to promote tourism, and ensure safety for all tourists around Mae Rampung Beach, Muang District, Rayong. To achieve this aim, public and private organizations, as well as the general public, are invited to help form a volunteer network to facilitate tourism in the area and ensure the safety of all visitors.
The program includes English language training and first aid instructions to prevent drownings. Mae Rampung Beach, is famous in Rayong as it is a beautiful twelve-kilometer long beachfront.
However, there are dangers due to the whirlpools that can happen suddenly in the sea, depending on the weather conditions.
Thus, the new volunteer network for tourist care is expected not only to promote tourism and safety, but also to build a positive image of the province as well.
