A group of young tourists from Dubai performed illegal driving stunts, including wheelies, on the road in front of Cherng Talay Police Station in Thalang District, Phuket. The incident occurred at approximately 3:45 PM on July 29and caused concern among other road users due to the dangerous and reckless behavior.
The Cherng Talay police officers promptly pursued and apprehended the teenagers, enforcing strict legal measures against them. The charges included driving in a manner that recklessly disregarded the safety of others’ lives and bodies. The police also seized the motorcycles used in the incident.
Colonel Weerapong Rakchiko, Chief of Cherng Talay Police Station, condemned the actions of the foreign teenagers, describing their behavior as reckless and dangerous. He urged all road users to drive with caution and consideration for others, emphasizing that such behavior endangers lives and property.
To promote road safety, Cherng Talay Police Station has been producing various video clips to encourage responsible driving, respect for traffic laws, and awareness of others’ rights. With limited police resources, these efforts aim to educate the public and enhance safety on the roads.
