BANGKOK, Thailand – Police have arrested a 37-year-old woman, identified as Waraporn (nickname Aom), for repeatedly stealing items from a Laundromat, Dec 7. She was apprehended with three stolen pillows in her possession and tearfully expressed remorse, pleading for another chance. However, the laundromat owner insists on pursuing charges due to the repeated nature of the thefts.
The arrest followed a complaint filed by the laundromat owner, Mr. Chanin, 32, who reported several thefts at his coin-operated laundry shop. On December 2, the suspect was caught on camera stealing a pillow around 4:00 AM. She returned at 1:00 AM on December 3, stealing two more pillows, and on December 4 at 8:55 PM, she took bowls and dishes from the premises.
Investigators tracked Waraporn to a makeshift home along Bang Phut Canal in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi. During questioning, she admitted to the thefts, claiming she believed the items were abandoned and took them for personal use, not for resale.
Police have charged her with “theft during nighttime” and are proceeding with legal action. (TNA)
