SAKON NAKHON – In the bid to help farmers earn more income, officials of Phu Phan Royal Development Study Centre in Sakon Nakhon are offering free lectures on raising the three ‘amazing blacks of Phu Phan, namely black chicken, black pigs and beef cattle.
According to the officials, these livestock are valuable commercial animals that can generate a lump sum of money, if bred correctly. The development study center said, in order to help livestock raisers to understand more about these strains of animals, a special course on breeding the animals will be held at the center from August 31st to September 1st.
Participants can expect to learn professional tips and tricks on how to raise the animals for a commercial purpose. They will be taught about egg management of Phu Phan Black chickens, quality control for black swine, and many other techniques. The center officials said Phu Phan Black pork is compatible to the famous Japanese black swine meat ‘Kurobuta’.
Participants will also have a chance to win the 3 Phu Phan Blacks during the event, the officials added.
